Seed Family from Preston , Lancashire .

Kate in Australia , looking for any help re:- my Seed Family from Preston , aware you are mainly in the Chipping area , but maybe someone might be able to help me break down the proverbial brick wall .Know Seed is a common Lancashire name , I have a friend Daryl , parents Kenneth & June Maher nee Seed  , the  family hails from Chipping & one day we might just find a connection , if so it will be quite a way back , our names Seed & Hall seem to cross over quite a lot .

James Guelder returning from WW1 found Ada pregnant to Richard Allanson, a daughter b 1919, divorce proceedings

They had 3 children whilst the divorce was proceeding, only 2 survived one of them being my father Richard Gilder 1921 – 1994, but as the divorce wasn’t finalized, he had to be christened with the surname Gilder instead of Allanson.

After the marriage 4 more children born, only one surviving Minnie Allanson 1924 -1988 m Alexander Muir Calder

Richard Glder  ( enrolled at school as Richard Guelder ) enlisted in the Army in Preston as a boy soldier in 1937, then the regular army 1939 retiring in 1965
